Damp-R Services Ltd. is a privately held Ontario-based company offering innovative freight shipping and transportation services.

The company assists manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, importers and other businesses that ship freight within Canada and across the Canada-US border.  The company is dedicated to giving its customers competitive freight rates and on-time delivery services. 

Founded in 2009 by Ranvir Bains, Damp-R Services Ltd.’s name was inspired by a sincere but straightforward idea: respect one’s heritage and those who came before you.

What’s in the Damp-R name? Today, few of us have an opportunity to meet and know our grandparents or even great-grandparents. However, imagine knowing and experiencing in one’s lifetime four living generations of family members.  When Ranvir Bains was four years old, he was fortunate to be counted in this extraordinary small group of individuals who could reach back in time, and know for a brief moment, their great, great, great-grandfather.

This remarkable experience was not forgotten by Ranvir Bains when he founded the company in 2009. As a tribute to his family’s legacy,  he symbolically used the first letter of the first name of each generation to represent the accumulated intergenerational effort characterized by enterprise, resourcefulness and perseverance.
